My name is Bitte Rydeman and I work as a speech-language pathologist at the resource centre DaKo in Halmstad (on the west coast of Sweden). There I work with people of all ages who need to get access to communication aids because of difficulties with speech, language or writing. I also have a small company called BITTECH, through which I work as a consultant. I administrate a web page called www.kommed.nu, which started in 2002 as a result of a project called "Communication through technology - from an every day perspective". At the moment I am about to defend my PhD thesis in linguistics at the University of Gothenburg, June 4 2010. The thesis is called "The Growth of Phrases. User-centred design for Activity-based Voice Output Communication Aids." It is written in English, and the abstract can be found here. There is also a summary in Swedish. After May 12 2010 the theisis will be available as pdf at http://hdl.handle.net/2077/22204. Organisations I am involved with include ISAAC, ISAAC-Sweden, Furuboda, Certec, DAHJM, DART, the Swedish Institute of Assistive Technology, SPSM and SSKKII. |
